Frequently Asked Questions
What if a student has already completed the module I assign them?
Any module that students complete in the same academic year (fall, spring, or summer semester) can be counted by another professor. For example, suppose a professor required a student complete the Intermediate module in the fall 2022 semester. In that case, the student can submit their Certificate of Completion to another professor who assigned them to complete the same module in the spring 2023 semester. However, the same student could not submit their Intermediate Certificate of Completion to another professor in the fall 2023 semester since it is outside the one-year timeframe.
Is there a limit to the number of times students can download their Certificate of Completion?
No, students can download their Certificate of Completion an infinite amount of times by logging into their Rowan Market place account.
Is it possible for me to view the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced Canvas shells before deciding if I wish to assign them to my students?
I understand that faculty members have complete control regarding the due date they assign students to submit their Certificate of Completion. However, what would be the center’s recommended deadline for students to complete the module?
The Center for Professional Success recommends that professors assign their due date at least two to three weeks before the final date of their selected academic semester. Ideally, we want to minimize having the modules interfere with students’ final semester assignments.
Can I track students' progress on the modules?
Faculty members will be unable to track the progression of their student’s assigned modules. However, after students submit their Certificates of Completion, professors can review their submission as a pass/fail assignment. Students that submit the Certificate of Completion will receive a 100 on their submission, and students who do not complete the module will receive a zero.
