Biography
James Shrader teaches courses on modern Latin American history and International Studies. His current research explores the relationship between nation building, political violence, and the question of mass democracy in northwestern Argentina, while his next project will examine the history of American-built sugar town like Hershey in Cuba and from their foundation to their eventual decline by the post-Soviet “Special Period” in the 1990s. He has also served as a consultant for human rights investigations and is currently engaged in the digitalization and preservation of historical documentation from the Cold War.College of Humanities & Social Sciences
