GRADUATE STUDENT OF DISTINCTION: In 2025, the History Department established an award for graduate students who exemplify outstanding academic performance.
THE SCOTT MORSCHAUSER BEST PAPER PRIZE: In 2021, the History Department established a paper prize for graduate students. A Department committee for graduate students reviews papers submitted to history courses in the previous year and award prizes to the most outstanding paper submitted in each case. In 2024, the Department named the graduate prize after retired faculty member, Scott Morschauer.
