Biography
Jonathan W. Wilson holds a Ph.D. from Syracuse University, which he earned in 2015. His dissertation focused on articulations of American national identity among literary intellectuals in New York and other cities in the early nineteenth century. He comes to South Jersey after spending several years in the historic anthracite mining region of northeastern Pennsylvania, but he grew up in Texas. In recent years, he has taught university courses on topics including American ethnicity and diversity, early western civilization, and the twentieth-century world, as well as surveys of United States and global history. In addition, he has taught first-year composition at the college level, and he has blogged about academic topics as a member of The Junto and Teaching United States History.
