Douglass Day is a hands-on digital humanities event that marks the birthday of Frederick Douglass, the renowned African American abolitionist, writer, reformer, and statesman. Each year, thousands of participants come together to transcribe documents and create freely accessible online materials to teach and learn about Black history. This year we will transcribe Frederick Douglass's letters from the Library of Congress.
This event is sponsored by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), History, Africana Studies, English, CINDS, Student History Association, and RCHGHR.
