Featured Faculty: Sandra Jones

We congratulate Sandra Jones on her recent publication, Coalition Building in the Anti-Death Penalty Movement: Privileged Morality, Race Realities (2009, Lexington Books). Sandra J. Jones, Ph.D, LCSW is an Assistant Professor of Sociology who received her Ph.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her M.S.W. from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. Her primary research areas are race/ethnic relations, social movement theory, and the area of death, dying, and bereavement. She has worked as a mental health/substance abuse therapist and community activist for many years and is currently examining the bereavement process confronting the families of death row inmates.
