Sweeney Center Conference on Offshore Wind
The Sweeney Center’s upcoming conference, “The Road to Zero Emissions: The Future of Nuclear and Hydrogen Energy in New Jersey,” is the second major energy conference sponsored by the Sweeney Center, following its May 3, 2023, conference on “Offshore Wind Technology in New Jersey: Sustainability, Emerging Markets and Policy.”
Speakers included Robert Angelo-Asaro and Shawn LaTourette, commissioners of the NJ Department of Labor & Workforce Development and Department of Environmental Protection; Tim Sullivan, Director of the NJ Economic Development Authority; former Senate President Steve Sweeney; Giuseppe R. Palmese, Dean of the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, Beth Christensen, Chair of Rowan's Environmental Science Department; Jie Li, Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rowan; and various offshore wind industry officials.
