Certificate & Medallion Award
Students who successfully complete the Minor receive a Certificate in Africana Studies at graduation. In addition, a Medallion Award for Excellence in Africana Studies is presented to the graduating senior with (1) the highest GPA in the major (a GPA of 3.0 or better in the major), (2) an overall GPA of 3.0 as a minimum, and (3) evidence of academic leadership or service.
