Tarek Mousa is a native of Egypt, where he obtained an undergraduate degree from Souhag University in Egyptology. After working in tourism for a number of years, he came to America in 2006. He taught Arabic and the Arab culture to US Military personnel at Fort Dix in NJ from 2006 to 2010. He began teaching Modern Standard Arabic at the University City High School in Philadelphia in 2010. He obtained a Master's degree in Teaching English as A Second Language from La Salle University in 2014. His thesis focused on classroom techniques for teaching English to Arabic speaking adults.
