Karen Breen-Davis teaches French and French Literature. She studied French Literature at l'Université de Montpellier, Montpellier, France. She has been a member of the Pennsylvania Governor's Committee on Humanities and the Pennsylvania Governor's Institute for Foreign Language Studies. She has had the opportunity to provide translation services to the legal and diplomatic communities in Washington, DC. and to the advertising and print media industries in Philadelphia and New York. She has worked as an interpreter in Paris and Aix-en-Provence. Recently, she has offered cross-cultural training for the New Jersey Department of Tourism to the business community of Cape May County.

"Madame" enjoys traveling throughout the French-speaking world and has two priority destinations to explore: the French maritime department of Saint Pierre et Miquelon where her maternal ancestors settled as well as French Polynesia where her younger brother is involved in the restoration of a traditional Polynesian outrigger.
