Biography
Patrizia Cardone joined the Department of World Languages in January 2021. She was born and raised in Livorno (Tuscany), Italy. After obtaining her Master's degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Spanish from the Università degli Studi di Pisa, she moved to London, England where she taught Italian at Kingston University for four years. After a few years in Toronto, Canada, she returned to Italy, Milan, where she continued her teaching of Italian, mostly Italian for business in multinational corporations in the Milan area. While in Italy, she also taught English in several Italian High Schools and obtained a certificate for teaching Italian as a second language. She then finally arrived in the USA where she continued her teaching career as an Italian instructor in several universities in the Philadelphia area and currently teaches at SJU and Temple University, where she earned her certificate as an online instructor. In her leisure time, she enjoys cinema, cooking, reading, cycling, and travel. Last but not least, she is also passionate about dogs!
