The Master of Social Work (MSW) degree is highly valued by candidates seeking licensure as a social worker and/or clinical social worker (LSW, LCSW), those planning to pursue a doctoral degree (DSW, PhD), those interested in providing counseling and psychotherapy in any setting, those wanting to work in community mental health, schools, medical and behavioral health hospitals, children and youth services, managed care, and those seeking human service positions in any settings, management and/or administration and more!

At Rowan, the specialization of Mental Health, Equity and Well-being is integrated in all coursework.  Along with a minimum of 59 credits and robust curriculum, students are required to complete a minimum of 900 hours of field education at an approved site to be eligible for an MSW degree.
