Embracing the legacy for Black History, empowering the future

With keynote speaker Dr. Stephanie Harris, Director of Africana Studies, Seton Hall University.

Participants can expect:

• Workshops and presentations by K-12 educators, Rowan faculty, scholars, students, and community historians
• Updates on recent developments in NJ legislation to strengthen the Amistad law with elected officials
• Networking with other educators, scholars, and community archivists to discuss the importance of teaching Black history
• A Professional Development (PD) certificate for attending
