COVID Interdisciplinary Project
The world is facing a historic moment. The global pandemic has impacted nearly every aspect of society, technology, communication, and ideas. This is a unique opportunity for academic faculty to engage with the changes and seek to understand, assist, and shape the world.
Unsurprisingly, there are a lot of Rowan faculty doing work related to the COVID crisis. Some are studying the impact on young scientists of color; others are researching the impact on Rowan; and a few of us are using our expertise to develop solutions to new problems like effective masks. In the College of Humanities and Social Sciences [CHSS] we have nearly a dozen projects related to COVID, including a podcast, special journal editions, a library repository, surveys, and oral histories.
CHSS has formed a COVID Interdisciplinary Project Working Group designed to encourage and promote COVID related projects from our college and Rowan University as a whole. While our group is focused on supporting and expanding research in the college, we want to build support for the whole university in this realm. We will begin (or have begun) a few initiatives:
- a webpage to coalesce and share information on our various projects;
- a library repository to archive information, artifacts, and data related to COVID for future researchers
- Surveys and oral histories to understand the impact of COVID on the Rowan community
Please continue watching this site to find out about projects across the University on COVID or to access our surveys.
