This is a replica of an Archaic Homo sapiens skull. The maximum cranial length of the skull is 17.5cm and the Basion-bregma height is 12.5cm.  According to the map picoted below, Archaic Homo-sapiens remains have been found throughout parts of Europe, East Africa and Eastern China and roamed the earth about 100,000-200,000 years ago.  Archaic Homo sapiens used tools such as wooden spears and hand axes for hunting food.  Archaic Homo sapiens most likely traveled and hunted in groups, which made survival easier on the group. Physically, Archaic Homo sapiens were built similar to today’s man, but more rugged and robust. Their facial features differed a bit because the brow ridge would protrude over the eyes more than today’s modern man. The skull pictured below has a prominent brow bone above the eyes.
