Internships

Students in Political Science and Economics can take advantage of the Public Service Internship Program. This program offers the opportunity for students to work in the field of campaigns, elections, and public policy. Students earn valuable work experience, build their network and engage in professional development. 

Students can receive 3-6 credits in fall, spring, or summer sessions. Past internships have been with these organizations:

  • Alice Paul Institute 
  • NJ Board of Public Utilities (paid) 
  • Senator Cory Booker 
  • NJ Business and Industry Assoc. 
  • NJ Gasoline, C-Store and Automotive Assoc 
  • Office of the Public Defender 
  • Policy and Research Office, Pennsylvania Senate
  • Trial Team Unit, Camden County Prosecutor’s Office
  • NJ Democratic State Committee
  • New Jersey Superior Court, Burlington Vicinage Internship Program
  • Gangs Office, Division of Criminal Affairs
  • Food Bank of South Jersey
  • Checkmate Strategies

Experiential Learning

All Political Science and Economics majors must take an Experiential Learning (EL) Course. These courses offer the opportunity to get experience and learn outside of the classroom. Our students can choose from these courses to earn their EL credit:
