Passage of voter-driven marijuana laws for recreational use signals a societal shift in attitudes for cannabis use in New Jersey.  This policy transformation reminds us that there is still much we don’t know about the potential impact of legalization on behavioral patterns, on social and product control as well as on public policy.

As part of the Rowan University Institute for Cannabis Research, Policy, & Workforce Development, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences houses the hub focusing on the Socio-Behavioral Impact and Enforcement of Legalized Cannabis. Our goal is to become the reference to New Jersey and other states for cannabis research and training for social science research, law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies, and public policy.
