Top 10 Ways to Get the Most Out of MAPIS2025

IMPORTANT:  If you can no longer attend this conference, please let us know IMMEDIATELY.

We have a significant “waiting list” of other students who are looking for a seat.

  1. If possible, please arrive by 8:15 am, when the registration desk opens.
  • This will give you time to check in, have breakfast, network with each other, and have your free professional headshot taken. (Headshot offer will end around 8:55 am)

  1. You should dress in business casual attire.
  • Comfortable, but professional. (No jeans.  No sneakers.  No T-shirts.)
  • Imagine what you might wear if you worked at a prominent law firm on a Friday in the summer.

  1. Please stay for the full conference, which will end around 3:30 pm.
  • This is really important. Showing this kind of professional courtesy and respect is both appropriate and expected.
  • As an incentive, we will have an ice cream food truck serving everyone at the end of the day!

  1. During lunch, each table will have one guest speaker assigned to it. You can sit with whomever you wish.  Ask them questions.
  • This is why it’s good to review the Speaker Bios before you arrive! You can access them here.
  • Ask questions, such as:
    • What was your career path? How did you get to where you are today?
    • What is it like doing what you do? What is your typical day like?
    • What do you know today… that you wish you knew… back when you were in college?
    • What’s the funniest experience you’ve had in your career?

  1. You should request a business card from the guest speakers.
  • The more networking you do, the more you can get out of MAPIS.

  1. Follow @RowanIPPC on Instagram immediately. Then, throughout the day, please take pictures and post
  • Let’s go viral!
  • Use #MAPIS2025 whenever posting.

  1. You are welcome to chat with guest speakers in between activities.
  • However, be mindful of our schedule and respectful of the next speaker on the program.

  1. Be prepared to smile! The entire Intern Summit is on-the-record.
  • There will be an official photographer and videographer there throughout the day.

  1. Avoid sitting only with the people you know.
  • Who knows? At some point in the future, one of you may well be in public office.  Get to know each other now!

  1. Don’t leave MAPIS2025 before getting your free RIPPAC T-shirt!
