Biography
Cindy Vitto received her B.A. from Susquehanna University, her M.A. from Duke University, and her Ph.D. from Rice University. She is the author of Grammar by Diagram, a college-level textbook; The Virtuous Pagan in Medieval Literature, a monograph; and several articles dealing with medieval and Renaissance literature. She has also co-edited two volumes of collected essays, The Rusted Hauberk: Feudal Ideals of Order and Their Decline and New Perspectives on Criseyde. She taught American English Grammar and British literature from Beowulf to 1800, specializing in medieval literature.
