50th Anniversary Celebration

In 2017, Rowan University and the Borough of Glassboro marked the 50th anniversary of the Summit. A series of lectures and academic presentations commemorated this historic event, beginning with an address, "Lyndon Johnson and White House Leadership Fifty Years After the Hollybush Summit," by presidential historian, Doris Kearns Goodwin, on February 20, 2017.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, guests toured Hollybush and participated in a variety of events including Summit Stories, where visitors heard and recorded memories of the Summit; interactive theatrical performances that allowed audience members to join in the “negotiation process”; and screenings of “10 Minutes to War,” about the solar flare that almost caused a nuclear war a few weeks before the Summit.
