Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Education
About the Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Education
In a world where mass violence, forced migrations, and new threats to global peace and security continue to emerge, entering the field of Holocaust and Genocide Education is a bold and rewarding step toward creating positive social change. Students in the MA HGE will learn about the origins and outcomes of ideologies of hatred and fear, think critically and creatively about how to translate that knowledge to a range of audiences, and develop a range of interdisciplinary strategies to engage young people in the promotion of human rights and the ideal of universal equality.
The MA HGE emphasizes excellence in scholarship, teaching, and student learning. We are proud of our small classes, our seminars designed to meet student interests and needs, our partnerships with university programs and organizations across the globe, and the diverse learning experiences we offer, which include independent studies, lectures and workshops with leading scholars, study tours, and research opportunities.
