Before her passing in 2022, Dr. Dianne Ashton (L) was writing her book “The Civil War Diary of Emma Mordecai,” which follows a 10-year study on the life of the Confederate woman. With a blessing from Richard Druker, Dianne’s husband, Dr. Melissa Klapper (R) picked up the project and published it through New York University Press.

Congratulations to both Dr. Ashton and Dr. Klapper on publishing “The Civil War Diary of Emma Mordecai.” Rowan CHSS is extremely proud of this accomplishment.
