Miss America 100 Years: Panel Discussion & Artifact Display

Please join us on Monday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. for a panel discussion about the Miss America Pageant, which is celebrating its 100 year anniversary, and Rowan’s collaboration with the pageant to digitize, preserve, and publicize its archives.

Panelists include:

  • Ms. Alyssa Sullivan, ‘20, Miss New Jersey 2021
  • Ms. Shantel Krebs, Chairperson of the Miss America Organization
  • Dr. Katherine Turner, Lecturer, History Department, and Director of the Miss America Archives Project at Rowan University

Dr. Joanne Connor, the President’s Chief of Staff and Board of Trustees Liaison, will moderate the event.

You can attend this event in-person in Business Hall 104, with light refreshments, or virtually. The doors will open at 7:00 p.m and the panel discussion will begin at 7:15 pm. After the event, a digital archive of items will play for virtual guests, as in-person attendees can browse the in-person artifacts as well as the digital archive on the screen
