The Spanish Major Concentration/Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Peninsular Spanish Literature and Culture (12 s.h.) recognizes students’ completion of 12 s.h. in related coursework at the 300 and 400 levels.  For Spanish Majors, this credential is referred to as a Concentration; for non-Spanish Majors, this credential is referred to as a Certificate.  This Concentration/Certificate enhances the profile of all job applicants across all fields of study, as it represents Advanced-level proficiency and the ability to access the culture of Spain through its literature, with a view to giving students an in-depth, sophisticated level of knowledge that will serve them in their professional life in many fields, including, for example, diplomacy, translation, education and politics.

Students may satisfy program requirements through coursework completed at Rowan University, transfer credits obtained from coursework at other institutions, and study abroad.
