The Center for Disaster Science, Risks, and Community Resilience
The Center for Disaster Science, Risks, and Community Resilience will be the identified state leader in promoting disaster equity within an all-hazards emergency management approach, strategic preparedness, and community recovery/resilience. By promoting a state-wide infusion of expertise, the Center fosters a dialogue among federal agencies, state governments, and municipalities/communities that inform and support their preparedness strategies by providing timely analysis, research, training, and technical assistance. Also, the Center links the university, community stakeholders, and first responder professionals to science-based practice and technology to foster recovery efforts that lead to local community-based solutions that preserve the brilliance of New Jersey and empower efforts that help communities thrive, save lives, and property, and steer economic revitalization.
